Museum Access
User Access and Security Policy
This policy is intended to ensure the safety and security of the University of Alaska Museum of the North (UAMN) facility, its staff, students, volunteers, visitors, and collections. All persons seeking access to the Museum’s non-public areas must read, understand, and adhere to the Museum’s User Access and Security Policy.

Museum Access Agreement
All persons seeking access to the Museum’s non-public areas must fill out and sign the top half of the Museum Access Agreement. This agreement must also be signed by the appropriate Department Head. The signed agreement must be submitted to Operations before access will be assigned.
Note: Department Heads must also email the Operations Manager requesting this access.
Museum Keys
According to University of Alaska Fairbanks (UAF) Key Regulations, only University employees and approved University students are eligible to receive key(s). Department Heads may issue key(s) to employees and students working in their departments and only for areas where they have responsibility. Department Heads must submit an email to Operations requesting key(s).
Note: A signed Museum Access Agreement must be on file with Operations before key(s) can be issued.
Note: Please return all pink key slip(s) and yellow key slip(s) to Operations after picking up or returning key(s) to the UAF Facilities Services Key Shop.
Museum Photo Identification Badge
A Museum photo identification badge must be worn at all times by staff, students, and volunteers while in Museum non-public spaces. An exception to this is made for visitors who must wear a UAF Courtesy Card or a Museum Visitor Badge (available from the admissions desk).
Note: When submitting a photo to Operations,please make sure the photo shows the person’s face and shoulders with a white background (if possible). It is recommended that the photo have a resolution of at least 300 dpi. Once the photo has been taken, email it to Operations.
Note: A signed Museum Access Agreement must be on file with Operations before a Museum photo identification badge can be issued.
