Responsible Conduct in Research Training
As stated by UAF Policy 10.07.001, “To foster and promote ethical decision making, professionalism, and best practices, UAF requires that everyone engaged in research understand and abide by fundamental ethical principles for the responsible conduct of research (RCR).” Furthermore, “As of January 4, 2010, the National Science Foundation (NSF) began requiring proposing institutions to certify that they have a plan to provide RCR training and oversight to NSF supported research trainees.” Therefore, principal investigators are responsible for taking various RCR trainings depending upon the discipline. Visit the Office of Research Integrity Training Programs Page to figure out which trainings you need to complete.
