Thank you for supporting the museum!

In February, 2018 our members and supporters were invited to a special exhibit preview, including remarks from the curator of the Decolonizing Alaska exhibit, light refreshments, and an opportunity to view the exhibit.

Stay tuned for information about upcoming events for our members.

Decolonizing Alaska opened Saturday, Feb. 10, 2018 in the museum's Special Exhibits Gallery. This multimedia visual art exhibit features more than 30 contemporary Alaska artists responding to a history of colonization. The original artworks move beyond stereotypical images of dogsleds and Eskimos to express ideas about identity separate from those that permeate popular culture.
