Collection

The UAMN Fine Arts Collection consists of over 4000 objects, primarily Alaskan regional art, historic through contemporary, and is composed of all the major mediums of visual expression. The fine art photography collection is particularly strong and represents the vast array of styles and techniques found in Alaska today. To make full use of the art collection's potential, the Museum offers a multitude of exhibitions, educational programs, and public events. It is an important center for scholarly research in Alaskan art history, and for classroom support in the study of drawing, painting, photography, printmaking, and sculpture.
