UAF Student Ceramics Art Guild Presents: Matt Hiller
April 1st & 2nd
UAF Fine Arts Complex 415 & BP Design Theater

Join visiting ceramic artist Matt Hiller for a live demo and artist talk exploring his process-driven approach to clay, from carving and surface texture to the rhythms of making with hand and tool. Drawing inspiration from Alaska’s landscapes and his off-the-grid lifestyle near Talkeetna, Hiller will share insights into his creative process and the relationship between materials, tools and the natural world.

Demonstrations will be held on Wednesday and Thursday, April 1st and 2nd, in the UAF Ceramics Studio (Fine Arts Complex, Art Wing, Room 415) and run from 10 a.m.–4 p.m. with a lunch break from 12:30–1:30 p.m.

A guest lecture will take place Tuesday, April 1st in the BP Design Theater from 6 p.m.- 7 p.m. A Zoom option is available for those who cannot attend in person.
