Placement testing

New or returning students interested in registering for courses are often required to complete a placement test. Northwest Campus advisors are available to assist students through the mandatory test placement process involving the Accuplacer and ALEKS placement programs.

Accuplacer is used to provide English and WRTG course placement. This placement test is required to be taken by a certified test proctor through arrangements made either by calling Northwest Campus or emailing the Test Email.

The ALEKS program is used to provide appropriate Math course placement and is taken online without a proctor, using a student UA ID. Advisors are available to assist students navigate the ALEKS placement test process. Learn more about ALEKs and take the placement test here.

Mobile and web-based apps are also available!
