Office of Space Planning and Leasing
This is the official site for space management and leasing at the University of Alaska Fairbanks. UAF strives to use office, classroom and lab space as efficiently as possible. UAF space is managed by Facilities Services, and the UAF Space Planner and Leasing Manager works with on and off campus entities to meet the current and future needs of campus.
The Space Planning Committee, led by the UAF Space Planner and Leasing Manager, is the gatekeeper for the following type of space changes:
- Functional use of space changes (room type changes)
- Additional space needs that can’t be solved within a unit’s currently allocated space
- Space movement or shift of space (current space isn’t meeting needs)
The requesting individual should fill out a Space Request Form to initiate this process.
Requests or inquiries regarding leasing of facilities from external entities must be directed through Facilities Services, and will be managed by the UAF Space Planner and Leasing Manager. UAF employees who are in need of space off campus should fill out the Off Campus Space Request Form to begin the process.
Requests or inquiries regarding the use of UAF space by anyone not associated with UAF, or use of UAF space by an employee but for duties that fall outside of their assigned duties, will be processed by the UAF Space Planner and Leasing Manager. Any inquiries should be directed to Brittany Van Eck, firstname.lastname@example.org.
