Final Exam Schedules
Exam Notes for all Semesters
Faculty not requiring a final exam should hold a regular class session during the final examination period.
When classes meet outside the standard meeting pattern, faculty members are required to contact the Academic Scheduling Specialist within the Office of the Registrar with their final exam schedule to be added to 25Live.
If a course has a lecture and lab, use the time of the lecture to determine the examination period. A course that meets four or five times a week will use the same period as assigned to those meeting three times a week at that hour (MTWRF uses exam time for MWF). Courses that meet only two days of a three-day sequence (MW or WF rather than MWF) will use the same schedule as the three-day sequence. Check with your instructor for additional exam information.
Final jury examinations for applied music courses (MUS 161, 162, 261, 262, 361, 362, 461, 462, 661 and 662) will be scheduled during exam week on an arranged basis. Check with the Music Department for examination times.
Gruening Building open, additional finals rescheduled
Gruening Building and final exams
The Gruening Building has been reopened and elevators are operating.
Classrooms and other spaces above the ground floor (third floor) were not flooded and are open. However, most classrooms on the third floor and below will remain closed for the duration of the semester to allow time for additional cleaning and repairs.
With the exception of Room 208, all classrooms on the first, second and third floors will be offline until the winter break, which begins on Thursday, Dec. 25. The registrar’s office has been working directly with faculty members to find alternative locations for final exams scheduled in those places.
Students should communicate directly with their instructors regarding final exams. A list of exams with new locations is also posted on UAF on Alert. Students may also have received messages via Nanook Navigator.
