Research and Creative Activity (RCA) Day is UAF's annual celebration of undergraduate
student experiences across campus!
This annual event allows students to showcase their scholarly experiences from the
current academic year through posters, presentations, creative displays, and public
performances. Both URSA-funded and non-URSA students are encouraged to participate.
URSA supports student projects from all disciplines on campus. Learn more about the

Apply for URSA Spring 2025 Project Awards

Undergraduate students planning to pursue creative projects or conduct research during the spring 2025 semester are invited to apply for funding. Applications will be accepted through Sunday, Nov. 3.

Paul H. McCarthy Award accepting applications

Individual undergraduate and graduate students from all disciplines at the University of Alaska are eligible and invited to apply for an award of $2,500 to support their research using the Alaska and Polar Regions Collections and Archives at the Elmer E. Rasmuson Library. One award is available annually. The deadline to apply is Nov. 3, 2024, by 11:59 p.m.
URSA Spring 2025 Mentor Awards accepting proposals through Nov. 3

Faculty, research staff, postdoctoral fellows, and graduate students from all disciplines of UAF-affiliated campuses are invited to apply for up to $3,000 to engage undergraduate students on their research and creative projects taking place during the spring 2025 term.

Undergraduate students and mentors from all academic disciplines are invited to attend an Undergraduate Student Research Mixer hosted by URSA on Thursday, Oct. 17 from 4-6 p.m. in the BP Design Theater (JUB 401).
