Abstract:
A multitude of signals are spun into the threads of seismic data. These tangles of
ground motion can be unwound to reveal observations of the Earth's ‘spheres (lithosphere,
hydrosphere, biosphere, atmosphere). Paired with co-located sensors, seismic data
can be leveraged even further to improve understanding of phenomena across a range
of fields. Using examples drawn from the Alaska Transportable Array and other projects
and programs, Dr. Kasey Aderhold will walk through science vignettes, both sought
out and tripped over during her time as a Project Associate at Incorporated Research
Institutions for Seismology.
