Development of an Inseason Model to Predict Bristol Bay Sockeye Salmon (Oncorhynchus nerka) Migration Timing

Project Description

Katie Sechrist Thesis. This research aims to (1) identify both preseason and inseason biological/environmental predictors of Bristol Bay sockeye salmon migration timing at the Port Moller test fishery, (2) develop inseason projections of migration timing at the Port Moller test fishery, and (3) develop inseason projections of stock specific migration timing and inshore arrival to the five major Bristol Bay commercial fishing districts.
