Joining professional organizations can be a great boon to many Communication members, whether they are established professionals or undergraduates just starting on their path through education. Not only can these groups provide a wealth of information for personal advancement and broaden one's experiential horizons, but membership to these prestigious groups can also contribute to your professional status by encouraging networking amongst industry professionals and demonstrating a dedication to the field. Many established members of these organizations support students through mentorship, internships, and research opportunities.
Even if they do not intend to seek membership, we encourage all students to explore the organizations listed below to better understand why they are formed, what areas they cover, and how their missions and current activity is impacting the world today.
