We’re still here for you!
At Student Health and Counseling we are taking safety measures and precautions to
help protect the health and well-being of our employees, students, and the UAF community
during the COVID-19 outbreak. Information regarding appointments are listed below.
Our summer hours begin Monday, May 11.
Our hours: 8:00 am - 1:00 pm Mon, Tues and Thu.
9:00 am - 1:00 pm Wed
Closed on Fridays and weekends.
The summer health center fee is $100 if students want to continue their medical and counseling services.
Change in Entrances:
Student Health and Counseling has limited the entrance to our facility to the door
on the back side of the building by the Fire dept. so anyone needing special accessibility (wheel chair, crutches, etc. ) to the facility
can enter. When you enter the facility, there will be a Medical Assistant greeting
you to take your temperature and provide instruction to you depending on your appointment
The entrance on the front side of the building by the Police dept. is closed.
For medical appointments:
It is recommended for students to call SHCC via telephone, at which point, you will
be screened for recent travel and other symptoms such as fever, cough and/or shortness
of breath. Medical providers will be able to give proper guidance on next steps during
this telephone screening time. We will be seeing students for general visits as well.
For counseling appointments:
We will be providing telehealth services for students via SecureVideo beginning on Monday March 23. If you currently do not have an appointment, we ask that you call via telephone in order to schedule. As your appointment day gets closer, you will receive an e-mail with instructions on how to access the video session.
We understand that this is a very stressful time. We are working to ensure we can
continue to offer support for those who want it.
