ITE scholarships

The Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE) Alaska Section is pleased to be offering $7000 in scholarships to university students enrolled in an accredited engineering or other transportation related program. One scholarship of $2,000, two scholarships of $1,500, and two scholarships of $1,000 will be awarded.
Application deadline is May 4, 2021, 11:59 p.m.


BLaST Undergraduate Research Experience

Funding opportunity for the 2021-2022 academic year of up to $5,000 for undergraduate students working on projects related to biomedical and One Health research.
Application deadline: May 30th, 2021 by 11:59pm


URSA Student Project Awards

URSA Student Projects Awards are for undergraduate students planning to conduct research or pursue creative projects.
The Fall Student Projects Award fund up to $2,500 for an individual and up to $5,000 for a group of two or more students.
These awards may be used to cover: 
  • student stipend
  • tuition
  • travel (for conducting fieldwork - pending on COVID-19 restrictions)
  • supplies and/or services
The application deadline is June 13, 2021.


Alaska Space Grant Program Undergraduate Research Stipends

The Alaska Space Grant Program (ASGP) invites applications from U. S. citizens for undergraduate research apprenticeship stipends. These stipends are offered to undergraduate students majoring in science, technology, engineering and/or mathematics (STEM) fields. Preference is given to projects directly related to NASA's interests. Stipends available under this announcement are limited to students attending Alaska institutions of higher education.
While all qualified students are encouraged to apply, women and individuals from underrepresented groups, specifically, Alaska Natives, Native Americans, African Americans, Hispanics, Pacific Islanders, and persons with disabilities are strongly encouraged to apply.

Students are required to identify a faculty mentor with whom they intend to work, and who is available to write a letter of collaboration.

Academic year 2021-2022 stipends are $6,000. Applications are due June 15, 2021.
