Student Activities

Student Activities organizes events designed to entertain, educate and inspire the UAF community.

Student Leadership and Involvement

The mission of the UAF Leadership Program is to cultivate effective leaders for Alaska by creating and supporting a rich variety of student leadership development opportunities, partnering with academic departments and the community, and recognizing successful student leadership.

Nanook Traditions

Nanook Traditions are among UAF's most highly anticipated annual events. These include the Starvation Gulch bonfires in September, Winter Carnival in February, and SpringFest in late April.

Nanook Diversity and Action Center

The Nanook Diversity and Action Center (NDAC) provides a welcoming space, educational programming, and opportunities to transform social concerns into action.

The Commons

The Commons serves as an inclusive and diverse gathering space for the UAF faith community, recognizing and celebrating the needs of the Student. This space is to accommodate all religiously diverse University students so that they feel welcome and spoken for, and we want to create a quiet space for them to feel comfortable exercising their religious practices and exploring their spiritual selves.

Office of Sustainability

The UAF Office of Sustainability is a student-funded, student-driven effort to make UAF a model for the Circumpolar North and beyond by incorporating sustainability into curriculum, operations, campus life and the greater community.

Whether you are a player or a spectator, a competitive or casual gamer, we have something for you at the Alaska Esports Center.

Everyone's invited to the party! The Alaska Esports Center welcomes all of our diverse students and community members to have fun, compete and work together.

Student Government - The Associated Students of the University of Alaska Fairbanks

The Associated Students of the University of Alaska Fairbanks is UAF's representative student body. All UAF students who pay the consolidated fee are members of the association.

The Sun Star

The Sun Star is funded directly by the UAF student body.

The Sun Star is an independent student-run news organization and does not represent the views or opinions of the University of Alaska System.

KSUA 91.5 FM

KSUA 91.5 FM is a student-run radio station located in the Wood Center on UAF's Troth Yeddha' campus. As part of UAF Student Media it provides a platform for student voices and music that you wouldn't hear anywhere else.
