Student Career Goals

Many populations of marine mammals in Alaska are in flux, and therefore, so too is their impact on biologic and anthropomorphic levels. Broadly, I am interested in studying the dynamic ecologic and economic roles that marine mammals play in Alaska.

Current research projects

  • Modeling interactions between humpback whales and Pacific herring in Prince William sound
  • Estimation of humpack whale abundances in Prince William Sound, Lynn Canal, and Sitka Sound.

Affiliations

  • Collaborate with NOAA/NMFS Auke Bay Labs
