Research Overview

My research in coastal ecology centers on understanding the sources of variability in intertidal and subtidal macroalgal and benthic invertebrate communities. I am most interested in how environmental change and species interactions influence community structure and dynamics. A common theme in my research is understanding the roles of each of the multitude of factors that affect species, such as how marine organisms can concurrently be affected by changes in temperature, predation pressure, and larval supply.
