Local Hires Needed for Electric Vehicles in The Arctic Project

Hi, Kotzebue and Bethel friends!

The Electric Vehicles in the Arctic project is looking to hire one individual in both Kotzebue and Bethel for April community meetings.

The hired EVITA team members will assist with recruitment and logistics for community meetings on the topic of electric vehicle use in your community. The individuals will advertise meetings, identify important people to invite and help recruit participants. This will involve posting flyers around town, publishing Facebook posts on community pages, reaching out to local contacts that might be interested in our workshop and helping arrange logistics if the meetings are held in person. Also, if meetings are in person, they will help with setup and takedown. Lastly, this person will coordinate with another local hire within the community.

Skills needed:

  • Ability to travel around town

  • Familiarity with filling out paperwork and using a computer

  • Current aptitude on social media

  • Cell phone and email address

  • Ability to communicate well

The hired individual will start one month out from the workshop date. The first workshop will likely occur in the beginning to middle of April.

If you have questions or are interested, please contact Jen Schmidt at jischmidt@alaska.edu or 907-750-3750.
