The Alaska Center for Energy and Power is located on the fourth floor of the Joseph E. Usibelli Engineering Learning and Innovation Building (JUB) on the University of Alaska Fairbanks Campus. ACEP also has a team and office based in Anchorage.
Energy Technology FacilityThe Energy Technology Facility (ETF) houses state-of-the- art laboratories, equipment and infrastructure to support ACEP’s applied research, including the Power Systems Integration laboratory and the hydrokinetics high-bay. The ETF is located on the UAF campus just west of the powerplant off Tanana Loop E.
Test Sites and Laboratories
ACEP’s facilities are designed to offer a unique testing environment to technology developers, utility managers and other decision makers. Envisioned as an intermediate step to full commercial deployment, these facilities were carefully designed for a range of testing needs, enabling assessment of product performance based on many real world conditions.
