Join ArcticX Summit: Committing to a Sustainable Arctic

The one-day ArcticX Summit, “North to the Future of Energy: Committing to a Sustainable Arctic,” is inspired by Alaskans who have laid the foundation for a clean energy transition by installing solar and wind in remote villages, by mentoring entrepreneurs to bring their energy technology ideas to market, and by advocating for a more equitable and affordable energy future.

Join the event on Monday, May 23, 2022, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The summit isco-hosted by two U.S. Department of Energy offices — the Office of Technology Transitions and the Arctic Energy Office. It will feature Alaska leaders, DOE national lab researchers and energy industry pioneers discussing:

  • Bipartisan Infrastructure Law funding

  • Case studies in technology commercialization in the Arctic

  • Carbon management in the Arctic

  • Green shipping corridors

  • Nuclear energy

  • Climate monitoring

  • Renewable deployment and grid modernization

Alaska Native organizations and governments will receive a waived registration fee. Please reach out to Andrew Peoples at to request a waiver. Note that the Alaska governor’s Alaska Sustainable Energy Conference will take place May 24-26, also conveniently located at the Dena’ina Center.
