Researcher Looks to Feed the World after a Disaster

Human existence after a worldwide catastrophe is researcher Dave Denkenberger’s passion. He is trying to figuring out how to ensure that no one starves to death in the aftermath of a natural catastrophe like a super volcano or a manmade one like a nuclear winter.

A recently released British Broadcasting Corporation video and a Vox article showcase Denkenberger’s research and the nonprofit that he helped found, called ALLFED.

Denkenberger is looking at ways to use food waste, and even things we might not consider as food, to feed the masses in the event of a catastrophe.
