New summer fellowship for science teachers

ACEP is offering a new summer research fellowship for middle and high school science teachers in Alaska.
Funded by the Murdock Charitable Trust, the Murdock Partners in Science program will pair middle and high school science teachers with University of Alaska mentor researchers for two consecutive summers of paid research. The 2026-2027 inaugural cohort will have positions in Anchorage and Unalaska.
In-service and pre-service science teachers as well as educators curious about energy, climate, engineering and Alaska-based research are encouraged to apply.
