Workshop on IEEE 1547 Interconnection Standard
Join us virtually for a free workshop hosted by ACEP in May, “IEEE 1547 Interconnection Standard: Enabler of technical innovation and end-user benefit.”
This workshop will introduce the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers 1547-2018 Standard for Interconnection and Interoperability of Distributed Energy Resources with electric power systems and will provide an overview of the 1547-2018 standard.
It will also put IEEE 1547 in the context of other standards that are used for integrating resources with electric power systems, outline how the industry will adopt and apply the IEEE 1547 and how it will facilitate the adoption of newer tech, including photovoltaics and energy storage.
Discussions will also cover how newer interconnection topics can be informed by and support new challenges, serving Alaska energy end users.
When: 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. AKDT, Tuesday and Wednesday, May 13 and 14.
Where: Zoom (free to attend but must register in advance). Register for the pre-conference workshop here.
This event is the last in a series of four virtual workshops held this spring as two half-day Zoom sessions, leading up to the Alaska Sustainable Energy Conference June 3-5 in Anchorage.
