BIO
Robbin Garber-Slaght is a research engineer at the National Laboratory of the Rockies’ Alaska Campus in Fairbanks and has a joint appointment with ACEP. She has 14 years of experience as a mechanical engineer improving building efficiency in extreme cold climates. She also studies geothermal and air source heat pump technologies in cold climates as well as building envelop designs to create more resilient buildings in Alaska's changing climate.
Garber-Slaght was the 2025 U.S. Embassy Science Fellow to Greenland, where she worked on developing connections between the engineering researchers across the Arctic.
