Computer Labs/Technology Support
UAF CTC is committed to ensuring that students have access to the technology they need to be successful in their academic program. We offer open computer labs and computers for student use with specialized program software at multiple UAF CTC locations.
We also provide student technology support services to help you with computer and technology problems. We also work cooperatively with the Office of Information Technology (OIT) at the University of Alaska to help you with campus-wide technology services.

COMPUTERS
Room 118/120 has twenty-four computers available for student use.

All lab computers are configured with software you are using in your CTC classes.

Student lab assistants’ hours are Monday through Thursday, 1:00 – 6:00 PM.
SERVICES
Student lab consultants are available to assist you with navigating computer programs
and software, connecting to UAF Wi-Fi, Blackboard/Canvas, Google Apps@UA, UAOnline,
and other computer and technology-related questions.
In addition to support from student lab consultants and technology staff at UAF CTC, Nanook Technology Services (NTS) offers many services to support your technology needs. Working together with UAF CTC technology staff and NTS will provide comprehensive technology support.
The NTS Service Desk is available to help students with computer and university account-related questions over the phone or in person.
UAF Nanook Technology Services provides many useful services that are available to support your studies.

Kevin Alexander and Brenda Madore, candidates for dean of the University of Alaska Fairbanks Community and Technical College, will give public presentations Monday, Dec. 1, and Tuesday, Dec. 2.
UAF summit to explore health care careers, education
October 21, 2025
Community members can explore an ever-expanding array of health careers and educational opportunities at the 14th annual Alaska Interior Medical Education Summit. The summit will feature demonstrations, panel discussions and hands-on activities to introduce attendees to various health care careers and education options. It will run from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 25, in the Murie Building at the University of Alaska Fairbanks.
UAF culinary program bistro opens for spring season
