The goals of the Arctic and Northern Studies Student Organization are to:

  • Make the Arctic and Northern Studies Program and its students visible on campus through various events and activities
  • Organize community outreach events aimed at students and faculty at the university as well as the general Fairbanks public
  • Raise awareness of issues relating to the north and provide a forum for discussion and interaction
  • Create a fun learning environment for students and faculty to interact with each other

Here NORS students and others gather around a fire at their annual ice fishing and barbecue event (March 2012)
