What — and who — we’re made of

Where you'll learn.

Wilderness surrounds Fairbanks, yet highways, airlines, fiber and satellites firmly connect it to the world. So you can attend and earn your degree online from anywhere.

In Fairbanks, you’ll find the Troth Yeddha’ Campus and the UAF Community and Technical College. Beyond, regional campuses serve Kotzebue, Bethel, Nome and Dillingham. Research sites can take you to Kodiak in the south, Juneau in the east and Toolik Lake above the Arctic Circle.

    UAF to honor graduate award winners, student speaker, outstanding students

    The University of Alaska Fairbanks will honor its 2026 outstanding undergraduate degree recipients and commencement speaker at a ceremony on Friday, May 1. In addition, UAF schools and colleges have named their outstanding students for the 2025-2026 academic year.

    The deadline has been my quietly relentless muse for the last 30 years. She used to give me headaches. But then I met her so many times that the headaches stopped.
