UAOnline - Authorized Viewer
How to Reset Your Authorized Viewer Password
Your Username:
Your username is the email address your student used when setting you up as an authorized viewer. If you’re not sure which email they used, please ask your student to confirm.
How to Reset Your Password:
If you don’t remember the password you created, you can reset it in one of two ways:
-
Use the “Forgot Password” Option:
After you click the Authorized Viewer Sign in button, select “Forgot Password” and follow the steps. -
Ask Your Student to Reset It for You:
Your student can trigger a password reset for you from within their own UAOnline account.
If your student has questions about how to help with this process, they can contact their Registrar’s Office for assistance.
How to Manage Authorized Viewer Access
-
Understand Authorized Viewers
Students can grant access to parts of their academic record to authorized viewers. These may include parents, guardians, employers, or anyone else the student chooses. A valid email address is required. -
Create and Manage Authorized Viewer Accounts
Students can create authorized viewer accounts and choose which specific pages within UAOnline each viewer may access. Students maintain full control over:-
Who has access
-
What information can each viewer see
-
How long each viewer has access
-
-
Know the Limitations
Authorized viewer access does not permit the viewer to discuss the student’s record with university employees.
To allow someone to speak with university staff about their educational record, students must submit a FERPA release. Contact your university for more information. -
Where to Manage Access
Authorized viewers can be added or edited from the Additional Links menu on the Student Profile page in UAOnline. This is the first page students see after logging in.
