Fall registration efforts underway!

The snow is just now starting to melt, but registration for the fall 2023 semester is already underway! Priority registration occurs this week with open registration beginning Monday, April 3.

Advisors and student support staff from across UAF are working tirelessly to proactively engage students in the registration process and advising appointments. However, registration is a university-wide effort! Encouraging students to register on time not only contributes positively to retention and persistence, but also benefits department-level enrollment and workload management efforts. Connecting students with their advisors before the end of the semester also helps them resolve any concerns and get registered before faculty and staff advisors go off contract for the summer.

The Academic Advising Center is busy the week of March 27 with scheduled registration Q&A pop-ups throughout campus, and Financial Aid is offering FAFSA workshops. Check out this website for times and locations. Students who register for  9+ credits on or before May 5 will be entered in the Registration Week Parking Pass Giveaway, t-shirts and other Nanook gear. Graduate students are also eligible if they register for 6+ credits.

Student support staff, front desk staff, faculty and staff advisors and others use Nanook Navigator tools to engage students during registration and end of the semester outreach. One way students are connecting to their advisors, accessing resources and viewing registration holds is through the Navigate Student Mobile App. Please encourage your students to download and log into the app to stay up-to-date with reminders and appointment invitations from their support staff.
