Helga Wagenleiter is a Native German with 40 years in Alaska, and teaching her mother language for UAF since 2008. She holds a graduate degree in social pedagogy/education as well as a bachelors degree in artisanery, both from higher education institutions in Germany. With plenty of extracurricular education in Alaska, she is responsible for developing and teaching all online German language classes at UAF, and very much enjoys it. Her main interest is to create courses with authentic learning environments that also reflects her experience as instructor in the classroom, where students can be comfortable and motivated to reach new horizons. She considers herself a critical thinker and reflective teacher.

With German being the second most spoken language in the internet, German online courses are ready for students to dive into language, grammar, communication and culture. They are presented in professional, quality matters (QM) national standard approved format. In times of Covid 19, learning German is made easy through UAF e-campus supported courses, readily available online.
