Thank you for choosing UAF! We look forward to meeting you during the New Graduate Student Orientation. New Graduate Student Orientation will be available in-person and via Zoom video conference. In-person, the orientation will take place in the Schaible Auditorium in the Usibelli Building. After you enter the front doors (a series of glass doors), you will take your first right and there will be two doors leading to the auditorium on your left. If you are attending in -person or want the zoom link to attend remotely, please RSVP by clicking the button below.

At orientation, we will discuss getting started in graduate school, what to expect your first year, and how the UAF Graduate School team is here to help you. 

Orientation is not mandatory, but we strongly recommend attending as it will familiarize you with graduate student policies, procedures, and other handy information that will help you navigate Graduate School. There will also be networking opportunities to allow you to meet some key people for your Graduate School experience. We hope to see you there!

We will also be hosting a Graduate Student Social in The Pub at the Wood Center, from 5:30-7:30pm. This event is open to all Graduate Students, includes a free nacho bar and is a great opportunity to meet other students, talk to faculty and staff, and learn more about Graduate School at UAF!
