Skip's research interests are environmental biology; disturbance and recovery of arctic ecosystems; global tundra ecosystems; hierarchical geographical information systems; landscape ecology; landscape response to climate change; quantitative ecology methods and the cumulative effects of climate change and infrastructure expansion, remote sensing and GIS of the Arctic.
