Welcome and alumni awards ceremony

UA Museum of the North
Join us as we kick off the Nanook Rendezvous alumni reunion at the UA Museum of the North. See the new bowhead whale skeleton and celebrate our awardees.
Music at the garden
7 p.m.
Charles Georgeson Botanical Garden
After the awards ceremony, check out Music at the Garden at the Georgeson Botanical Garden. Visit the UAF Summer Sessions webpage for more information about this free concert and other events.
Friday, July 22
Campus day
9 a.m.-4 p.m.
Various locations on the Troth Yeddha' campus
Join us for a fun filled day on campus. All events are free and open to alumni, family and friends. NOTE: Some events have been updated due to increased COVID-19 counts.
- 9-11 a.m.—Breakfast Mixer
- 10-11 a.m.—Campus Tour with Nook
- 10 a.m.-2 p.m.—Alaska Nanooks Open House at the Patty Center
- Noon-2 p.m.—Lunch in Constitution Park
- 2-4 p.m.—College of Engineering and Mines Open House and Tour

Growden Memorial Park
Bring your family and friends to Nanook Night at the Alaska Goldpanners baseball game. Admission is free with a UAFAA ticket (PDF download).
Saturday, July 23
Golden Days Parade
10 a.m.-noon
Downtown Fairbanks
Join UAF for the annual Golden Days Grande Parade. This year’s theme is Fortune Favors the Gold. All are welcome to walk in the parade. Participants will receive a new UAF T-shirt. Family members are also welcome to attend. If you're interested in riding on the float, please let us know as soon as possible. A variety of signs will be provided for those who want to carry them. No homemade signs will be allowed as part of the UAF float.
Here are a few other things you need to know:
- Parade participants must sign a roster and UAF liability waiver form.
- A parental consent form must be submitted for any participants younger than 18.
- Please read through the parade guidelines and sign up in advance.
- Email forms to University Relations at uaf-univ-relations@alaska.edu.
The parade is 2.1 miles long. If you would like to ride on the float, please let us
know soon.
Participants must be in the north Carlson Center parking lot no later than 9:30 a.m.
to get positioned before the parade begins at 10 a.m. There will be no parking at
the Carlson Center for participants. The parade route will be posted when it becomes
available.
All weekend
- Free admission to the Student Recreation Center and Patty Center pool
- Free admission to the UA Museum of the North for UAFAA members
