Ms. Susan Harry is the Program Coordinator and Dr. Molly Murphy is the Director of Student/ Academic Affairs for the UAF Department of Veterinary Medicine. They work closely with CSU-CVMBS to provide pre-vet advising.
CSU has a list of prerequisite courses and credits available (Preparatory coursework guide (PDF)) and UAF has the necessary courses to meet this prerequisite requirement. Alaska has several pathways for Pre-Vet students.
Students are encouraged to take the upper level biomedical science courses such as microbiology, cell biology, anatomy, physiology, histology, nutrition and other advanced biomedical sciences to improve their applications for the veterinary program.
