Fairbanks campus to close for winter break

Most offices at the University of Alaska Fairbanks will be closed for the winter break, Dec. 24, 2015, through Jan. 3, 2016. Many will also be closed or have reduced hours from Dec. 21-23 and Jan. 4-8.

The UAF police and fire departments will remain open and the University of Alaska Museum of the North will offer regular business hours during the break. Visit //news.uaf.edu/winterbreak2015/ for specific dates, hours and schedules.

Campus shuttle service will be unavailable during the closure. Reduced service will be offered from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Dec. 21-23 and Jan. 4-13. Regular shuttle service will resume Jan. 14. For shuttle information, visit http://www.uaf.edu/fs/services/shuttlebus/.

Students will begin returning to campus Tuesday, Jan. 12, when residence halls reopen. New students are invited to participate in orientation activities the following day.

WINTERmester classes are scheduled for Jan. 4-13. The first day of classes for the spring semester is Thursday, Jan. 14. The 2015-2016 academic calendar is also online at uaf.edu/catalog/current/acad_calendar.html.
