The University of Alaska Fairbanks is now taking registration for its spring educational travel program, "The Enchantment of Ireland from North to South."

The journey, which runs from April 12-28, includes the natural wonders of the north coast, the rugged seacoast of the Southwest. Participants will visit Giant’s Causeway, walk the Walls of Derry and explore the site of neolithic burial site Bru na Boinne, learn about Irish emigration and consider Northern Ireland’s troubled history. Travelers will also have an opportunity to experience some of Ireland’s greatest treasures — its people — as they meet a Member of Parliament in Belfast and dine with local families in Carrigaline, Co. Cork. The trip ends in Dublin, Ireland's capital with a visit to Trinity College and Book of Kells.

The program fee is $3,950 and includes meals, lodging, admission to attractions, transportation in Ireland and most other basic expenses. Travel to Ireland is not included.
