An emerging leaders retreat for students will take place Oct. 11 - 13. This retreat is an annual leadership experience designed for first-year students, transfer students or those who have limited leadership experience and are interested in developing their leadership knowledge and skills. The three-day, two-night retreat, which is delivered off campus, provides a rich learning experience regardless of whether or not students hold a formal leadership position.

Applications are due by Sept. 30. Cost is $25, which covers transportation, food and lodging.

As a result of participating in the Emerging Leaders Retreat, students will:

  • Develop connections to the campus community

  • Explore leadership through experiential learning and reflection

  • Build useful and effective leadership skills

  • Have a lot of fun

The retreat is a great opportunity for students to develop connections with peers and gain self awareness. It includes a variety of team building activities, interactive games, and small group discussion.
