Safety tip: Indoor air quality

Cornerstone

Some people are very sensitive to chemicals, including those found in perfumes, candles, potpourris, scented oil diffusers, and air fresheners. These chemicals can cause headaches and respiratory problems, and can trigger allergic reactions such as asthma. Before you use these products in your work space, it is worth considering their potential effect on others.

Safety is the responsibility of everyone at UAF.

When you see something that looks unsafe, say something. Your effort could help prevent a serious injury. You can easily report unsafe conditions 24/7 by using the Unsafe Condition Report.

Environmental Health, Safety and Risk Management will respond immediately to your concerns and contact you with the status of our actions to correct the unsafe condition.
