Job and Research Fair coming up

The second annual UAF Job and Research Fair, sponsored by Career Services, Undergraduate Research and Scholarly Activity and the Center for Research Services, will take place 11 a.m. - 2 p.m., Sept. 5 and 6, in the Wood Center multilevel lounge
and Ballroom.
This event will provide an opportunity for students to talk to UAF departments, research
units and other students about on-campus jobs, research opportunities and scholarly
activities in their major or other fields of interest.
This year, graduate students and post-doc researchers will present their posters to
individuals and/or groups of students, throughout the event. Those interested in securing
a poster spot should email their project abstract to eabelknap@alaska.edu. The deadline
is Aug. 30, but students should sign up early because space is limited. All presenters
will be entered to win one of two travel awards.
To register for this event, departments should create an employer profile on UAFCareerConnect then select the Events tab for the UAF Student Job & Research Fair 2012. The registration
deadline is Wednesday, Aug. 22.
