Fall semester brought a cadre of new faculty members to the University of Alaska Fairbanks, while continuing faculty members returned from summer ventures.

New faculty

Fourteen new faculty members have joined UAF this semester. They are:

Zinger visits Mongolia

Victor Zinger, a Fulbright senior specialist, visited Ulan Bator for three months in 2016 to work at the American University of Mongolia. There, Zinger worked with administrators and faculty to develop the math curriculum and train faculty for the university's engineering program. Zinger, an associate professor of mathematics, is affiliated with the UAF College of Rural and Community Development.
