At least 200 students, faculty and staff members, alumni and members of the public gathered on campus Wednesday evening for a rally to support full funding of public education in Alaska.

The rally, organized by UAF students, started at Wood Center and then moved outside to Constitution Park for speakers, including University of Alaska Regent John Davies, ASUAF President Dawson Mann and longtime local educator Christine Villano. The rally ended with a march through the campus core and back to Wood Center, where organizers had materials ready for participants who wanted to send letters and postcards to elected officials.
