Food safety training offered Feb. 4

A certified food protection manager training will be offered Feb. 4 in Fairbanks and Palmer and by videoconference in Kodiak, Unalaska and Craig.
The food safety workshop, which is hosted by the University of Alaska Fairbanks Cooperative Extension Service, will run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. State regulations require that all food establishments have at least one certified food protection manager on staff to ensure compliance with food safety regulations.
Palmer Extension agent Julie Cascio and Marsha Munsell of Fairbanks are the instructors. Register online by Jan. 23 at http://bit.ly/ces-workshops to receive a study guide and class locations. The $200 fee includes one certification exam.
