Summer Sessions and Lifelong Learning offers many kinds of financial aid programs so students can stay on track and graduate on time. The following programs apply only to Summer Sessions courses. (eLearning and CTC courses are not eligible.)

  • Undergraduate and graduate tuition awards for Pell Grant-eligible students to take one course that applies to their degree completion.

  • The Sweet Summer Deal:Take up to14 credits and pay for only 10 if you pass all your classes with a 'C' or better

  • Come Back for the Summer: Primarily designed for students who want to go home after spring semester is over. Summer Sessions will assist with up to $400 towards a plane fare back to Fairbanks if you enroll and complete 6 credits with a 'C' or better.

  • Scholarships: Summer Sessions has five $500 scholarships for continuing students.

  • Alaska Dreaming: This program is for out-of-state students. We will buy a round trip ticket from Seattle for students who come to UAF, take a minimum of six credits, and pass them with a 'C' or better.

Remember — there is no out-of-state tuition during the summer. You save more than $500 per credit over regular, nonresident rates.

For more information or to apply for one of these forms of aid, visit the Summer Sessions website, email summer@alaska.edu, call 474-7021 or stop by the Summer Sessions office in 216 Eielson.
