CFOS Seminar Nov. 11: Bering Strait region ecosystem

College of Fisheries and Ocean Sciences
will hold its weekly seminar Wednesday, Nov. 11, from 3:30-4:30 p.m. via Zoom. The talk will be offered by Gay Sheffield, a Marine
Advisory Program agent for Alaska Sea Grant. "Northern Bering Sea and Bering Strait Ecosystem Update"
The increased lack of sea ice in the Bering Strait region is impacting the entire ecosystem. Sheffield, who lives in Nome, will discuss the latest ecological conditions, impacts on the region and examples of CFOS teamwork on the coast.
