Certified food protection manager training

The Cooperative Extension Service will host a certified food protection manager workshop 9 a.m. - 5 p.m., Monday, Aug. 27 in Palmer and through videoconference locations in Anchorage, Fairbanks, Soldotna and Sitka.The workshops costs $175, which includes the class and the certification test. Register online at http://bit.ly/ces-workshops. The deadline to register is Aug. 15.Alaska regulations require food establishments to have at least one certified food protection manager on staff. Food protection managers monitor and manage food establishments to protect public health and ensure the facility complies with food safety regulations.
