Carla Browning, communications manager in UAF Marketing and Communications, and Meadow Bailey, public information officer with the Department of Transportation and Public Facilities, adjunct faculty member for the UAF Community and Technical College, have successfully completed the examination for accreditation in public relations.

The accreditation program is administered by the Universal Accreditation Board, a consortium of nine leading industry organizations, including the Public Relations Society of America. The program assesses 60 competencies in 60 areas associated with public relations. The examination is designed for PR professionals with five to seven years of experience and/or a bachelor's degree in a communications field.
