Lecture highlights food from garden to table

July 17, 2012

Marmian Grimes

Heidi Rader will give a free presentation at 7 p.m., Tuesday, July 31 in 201 O'Neill as part of Alaska's Land and Sea Lecture Series. The lecture will provide helpful hints on how to effectively use fresh produce from your garden, including what things are best to grow in a small, kitchen garden. Fresh produce recipes will be covered.

Rader enjoys every season in Alaska. When not skiing or climbing, she is home tending to her garden and chickens, and cooking fresh from the garden for her husband. She is an Extension Educator for the Tribes of Interior Alaska.

Alaska’s Land and Sea Lecture Series will be held every Tuesday evening June 5 – August 14 (no lecture on July 3) at 7 p.m. in 201 O’Neill.
