2012 Spotlight Series: Gates of the Arctic National Park and Preserve June 20

Gates of the Arctic National Park and Preserve is the nation's second largest National Park, and when combined with the adjoining Noatak National Preserve hosts thirteen million acres of Designated Wilderness. Don and Tracie Pendergrast will share a video and give a free presentation at 7 p.m. on June 20 in Schaible Auditorium as part of the 2012 Spotlight Series.

The Pendergrasts are former Gates of the Arctic park rangers and were intimately involved in the Artist in Residence program, education, interpretation, backcountry, management and planning for the park.

The 2012 Spotlight Series are free lectures held Wednesday evenings, May 30 – August 15 (no event on July 4), at 7 p.m. in Schaible Auditorium.
