Rural Heavy Equipment Operating Certificate

The candidate for a certificate in Rural Heavy Equipment Operation will be an individual seeking employment in the heavy equipment or support industry in rural and remote areas. This training takes place at the MAPTS Training Center, located in Delta Junction, Alaska, preparing students for careers in rural infrastructure development and maintenance.

Rural Heavy Equipment Operator Course (140 hours)

The Rural Heavy Equipment Operator Training Camp is a 140-hour program designed to equip students with the skills and knowledge they will need for a successful entry level career in the mining or construction industries. Over 14 days of intensive, hands on training, MAPTS students will gain real-world experience operating heavy equipment, all while learning from experienced instructors who are dedicated to their success. 

This program is built for students who are ready to develop the expertise, precision and confidence needed to excel in these high-demand industries. The curriculum is thorough and safety focused, ensuring that MAPTS students graduate as highly competent, safety conscious operators. By the end of the camp, students will be fully prepared to step into the workforce with the skills employers are looking for.

The MAPTS team of exemplary instructors builds a culture of success in both the classroom and the industrial job site. The goal is to put qualified Alaskan's to work.
