A file system modification that allows troubleshooting routines to be performed after starting the computer in single user mode. This software does NOT need to be run as preventative maintenance. A utility that checks the condition of your hard drive at each start up and login and reports its condition by placing a disk icon on your menu bar. If the icon is green then your drive is in good condition. If it is gray (minor problems) or red (major immanent problems), save your work, shut down your computer, and repair your disk. For using the Canon LIDE 80 scanners in the OUP Lab on your Mac. Download and install CanoScan Toolbox first, then download and install ScanGear driver. To specify an application for opening scanned images, you may choose CanoScan Toolbox. Restart will be required.
